Bred by Yakima Chief Ranches, Warrior is one of the strongest bittering hops due to its high alpha acid content but with the relatively low cohumulone levels Warrior bitters without a harshness. With these attributes warrior hops typically are used exclusively for the full boil but with its high myrcene oil content (~50%) also works great as an aromatic hop leaving a mild citrus and pine character to your brew.

Warrior can typically be found in American IPA and is a very popular variety for Double and Imperial IPA’s. Some possible substitutions include Nugget, Magnum and Columbus. Warrior is known to be a vigorous grower with yields typically well over a ton per acre.
